For eligible puppies, this option includes the documentation needed for the family to register the puppy with the American Kennel Club under AKC Limited Registration.

Companion Pet & Breeding Rights Policy
Love My Little Paws puppies are sold primarily as companion pets and are not intended for breeding purposes.
Breeding rights are not included with standard puppy placements. In limited circumstances, breeding rights may be considered on a case by case basis at the sole discretion of Love My Little Paws. Additional information, requirements, approval and separate terms may apply. Please contact us directly if you would like to be considered for a breeding rights placement.
AKC Limited Registration
AKC Limited Registration allows an eligible puppy to be individually registered with the American Kennel Club. Offspring produced by a dog registered with AKC Limited Registration are not eligible for AKC registration.
AKC Limited Registration does not provide breeding rights under the Love My Little Paws placement terms.
When completing registration directly with the AKC, families may choose from optional AKC registration packages and upgrades available at that time. Package options and fees are established and collected by the AKC.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Submitting an application and joining our general waiting list are free. A $500 litter reservation is required only after puppies are born, your application is approved and you commit to a puppy from that litter. It secures your place in the selection order, not a specific individual puppy. No reservation deposit is required for our currently available puppies.
The $500 reservation is applied toward the puppy's total purchase price and is not an additional fee. It is nonrefundable if you change your mind, subject to the refund or agreed-transfer terms below.
Reservation Process
1. Submit a Puppy Application at no cost.
2. After your application is approved, we discuss current or upcoming puppy availability. Before any reservation payment, we confirm your selection position, explain when you will choose your puppy and agree in writing on the criteria for a suitable puppy.
3. Once puppies are born and you are approved and commit to a puppy from that litter, the $500 reservation secures your place in the selection order. You select your individual puppy at the confirmed selection time. Currently available puppies do not require a reservation deposit.
4. Visits are available after approximately 8 weeks of age and after the puppy's first DAPP vaccination.
5. Puppies typically join their new families at approximately 10 to 12 weeks of age.
6. Final payment arrangements and pickup or delivery details are confirmed before the scheduled go-home date.
Refunds and Suitable Puppies
If LMLP cannot provide a puppy from the reserved litter that meets the criteria agreed in writing before payment, we will refund the deposit or, with your agreement, transfer it to a future litter. This includes too few puppies available for your reserved position, an agreed sex being unavailable or a veterinary concern preventing placement. Adult weight, size and temperament are not guaranteed. A change of mind or new preferences after payment does not qualify for a refund.
